My Journey

Hello, my name is Maxwell Murphy. I’m a Designer, Illustrator, and Artist.

I grew up in the Bay Area, a place where music, nature, sports, and pop culture are embedded in the fabric of the community.

From a young age, I was drawn to expressing myself through art and fashion — which eventually led me to start my brand, TUFFŸ, in 2018.

Music and sports have always been major influences in my life, both personally and professionally. I’ve been lucky enough to work as a designer in both industries, blending my creative skills with the energy, culture, and storytelling that make them so powerful.

I graduated from Whittier College in 2021 with a degree in Graphic Design and spent five years living in Los Angeles. After soaking up some sun and the city’s creative energy, I’m now back where it all started…

You can find me selling posters and merch at local pop-ups in Oakland, Berkeley, and San Francisco at the start of 2025 :)
