ARTIST BACKGROUND

Hello, my name is Maxwell Murphy. I’m a Designer, Illustrator, and Artist.

I grew up in the Bay Area, a place where music, nature, sports, and pop culture are embedded in the fabric of the community.

From a young age, I developed a strong passion and desire to express myself in the means of art and fashion. This eventually led me to create the TUFFŸ brand in 2018. On top of that, my love for the local teams (Raiders, Warriors, and A’s) quickly became an obsession that still exists today.

I graduated from Whittier College in 2021 with a degree in Graphic Design and spent 5 years living in LA. After soaking up some rays and the city's artistic flair, I find myself back where my artistic journey started…

You can find me selling posters and merch at local popups in Oakland, Berkeley, and San Francisco at the start of 2024 :)
